A Salute to Our Veterans

We want to pay honor to our veterans today and show them respect for the dedication and sacrifices they have made for the love of our country. Veterans have always had a special place in our heart.

A part of what makes my hometown special is our WWI Doughboy statue. It stands in front of our public library. It is one of less than 150 doughboy statues in our country and we're very proud that our little hometown has one.

So here's a big thank you for the men and women who have served our country. We're very proud to be able to pay tribute to you on Veteran's Day!

Tell!

So true. Great reminder of all of the people who have made America possible.

I have two guys who live on my block who are WWII vets, and they're a hoot ~ you'd never know they were older than 80.

I love the statue!

Goober love,
Stanley

Hey Tell...we have to go and look up doughboys on the internet. Mumsie said she's forgotten why they called them that. Mumsie has letters from her Grandmother's brothers writing to her from the foxholes in France from WWI...their only complaint was the lice which they made a joke of. Couldn't have been an easy time over there...they were gassed with mustard gas...they lived till they were old, but always had respiratoy problems.

We salute our veterans and pray that forthcoming generations will find a way to resolve issues without war.

Respectful and grateful barks,
Scruffy
