Look what happened to our calico cat, Pansy. She got a new new hairdo.
This is before...
And this is after...
I didn't do it. No, siree. Nope, Mom got tired of all that long, matted hair, and Pansy was getting cranky from the matting and itching. She was also hacking hairballs and was terribly uncomfortable. It's a fierce battle to brush her (Pansy spits and claws), so we got out the old clippers and -- Voila! -- Kitty feels much better now. She even felt good enough to pounce and play with the silk flowers afterwards.
Of course, we terriers are snickering behind her back. Pansy doesn't take redicule lightly and would just as soon slap us as ignore us. Best to lay low for the time being. You know, with my talent as an experienced chicken-plucker, you would think Mom would have let me have a go at fur. I could have removed that tangled hair pretty quickly...given the chance, even the poodle pom-pom at the end of her tail. But noooooo, nobody asked for my help.
But maybe next time...as we all know, hair (and feathers) grow back.

Woah! That is as bad as any "summer cut" I have ever had. My suggestion would be that you (Tell) pluck a bit of fur every day kind of like they strip wires. Then Pansy would not have this humiliation.

Good grief, that sure is a doozy of a haircut. Hope Pansy feels um lighter now.

Oooh heck, what a haircut! Was she good when it was being shaved off or did she object?

We're lucky because Xsara has very short hair and we don't need to ever cut it. I'm glad Pansy likes her new haircut
Naked cat! Tee hee! My cat sissy Flakes who sadly died in December, was a big fluffy Persian cross who also hated getting brushed and got tangled.

I think Pansy looks cute, especially with the pom-pom.
I don't think I'd look as cute with the same 'do. ;)

Dear fellow blogger,
My name is Bryony and I am an artist, based in Manchster, England. I graduated from a BA in Fine Art almost a year ago now, and am currently making a go of things as a (part-time!) artist, having just rented a studio here in Manchester.
My work is heavily influenced by man’s relationship with animals.
Recently I have become fascinated by the number of blogs online dedicated to pet dogs.
I have an idea in mind for a show, which would happen in early May this year, and I would like you to be a part of it!
What I plan to do with this art work is to demonstrate the depth and rich complexity of our love of animals, man’s best friend in particular. The work would involve the use of a piece of text from your blog (with your permission, of course).
I think this will be a lovely project – it will be fun, and will unite dog-lovers around the globe!
If you would be willing to take part, or for more information, please contact me through the email address above. Feel free to have a look at my previous art work on my blog.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, it is much appreciated and I hope to hear from you soon.
Best Wishes,
Bryony
Our Uncle Mark does that to his kitty, Coco! Mom says his undercoat is as soft as silk when you pet him! Coco loves it! We hope Pansy loves her new do too!
Love ya lots

Wow, that is a sight to see, Tell....almost looks like the pom poms on the poodles at the dog shows ...but then even they have more hair than that.....good thing you weren't responsible for that cut as it looks like Pansy is lookin around for the culprit.....yeow........run........claws.....hiss......and spit.......

Yikes!!! Her haircut is even worse than mine!! And I never thought I'd say that!! Poor cat. I never thought I'd say that, too. If I were Pansy, I'd hide, for a long, long time.
Koobuss Kisses,

OMD..is that what you call a catcut? Pansy does look all cute though.
Will she grow back even fluffier and furrier than before?

WHOA!!! That is you call a summer cut!!! Ah well at least she will be comfortable!!(how fast will it grow back??) Love A+A
Our mom and dad used to have a cat named Wayne. Every springtime, they had him shaved in a lion cut. He was totally capable of grooming himself, he was just too lazy to do it, so he got shaved every year! He loved it, once it was done because then he was a cool cat!
Aire-hugs,
Poppy & Penny
Hehehe, she looks kinda funny! J x
