We've had a ton of snow dumped here, and that's caused us to lose a few trees on the farm. The ice and snow just toppled them right over. This one fell across our driveway but didn't fall all the way to the ground. We were able to drive under it, just barely, but it made me duck my head each time. Nobody wants to be slapped on the head by a tree. No sirree. Thanks to Dad and My Boy and Married Kid's husband, a chainsaw and a big truck, the tree has been removed. That's a relief. Still, from a dog's point of view, I can tell you I hate to see a good tree go.
Besides the snow, ice and falling trees, our water line froze and now we've got a leak outside. Dad had to turn the water off at the meter until we can dig it up. We only turn it on once a day for important things like cooking and laundry and showers and such. There's just no water to waste right now. The good news is, NO BATHS for us doggies! I think I can live with that. ~Tell
Sorry we have been out of touch...'n we're sorry ta hear ya got so much snow 'n ice ya lost trees.....where ya gonna pee now without trees ???
I tell ya this is one of the worst winter we can remember....not that we have been around for many, that is....gloom 'n doom everywhere....I tell ya....we hope the sunshine comes out 'n stays out soon...we love it's golden rays...
Bummer about the water line but no baths !!!! Now that's a bonus fer sure....
We were just wondering how you're doing with all the wicked weather you've had. I fancy myself as a weatherdog -- but my specialty is hurry canes. I'm not too smart when it comes to ice and snow and the like.
I'm a wire fox terrier, and I live on a farm in the country with my two best friends, Cap and Glynn. Cap is the old grumpy dog. Glynn is the shy girl. I'm the good lookin' one. It's a busy life, living on a farm like this. We have to keep the chickens safe from the fox, the raccoons out of the barn, and the squirrels up their tree. It's a full time job, even with three of us patrolling the grounds. When I get time (and Mom's not looking), I get on the computer and write to my friends. I have doggy friends from Canada to Australia and everywhere in between. Even one in Ireland and a couple in the UK. So join the fun, read my blog and sign the guest book. The more the merrier, especially with terriers (hey, I'm a poet and didn't know it)!

Oh Yeah! All that potential MUD and no baths. At least for a while.

Good job no baths in that weather that's best. But bad for humans it must be very inconvenient for them.
I am so sorry to hear of these hassles! We are not having snow trouble this year, and I hope you are digging out! :)

Hey Tell,
We were just wondering how you're doing with all the wicked weather you've had. I fancy myself as a weatherdog -- but my specialty is hurry canes. I'm not too smart when it comes to ice and snow and the like.
Hope things quiet down!

Hey Tell! How've you been? It's been a while. Are you beginning to see a thaw?
Maybe there'll be some hidden treats under all that frozen stuff! So sad about your trees....
Waiting for spring,
Jake and Fergi xxoo
